Antique Coin Op 1 Cent Advance Electric Shock Vendor
A great old vintage coin operated machine that would be a good addition to any coin-op collection! Original unit manufactured by advnace machine company, chicago, pat'd august 8, 1916 and pat'd.
July 6, 1920. This vendor is in good wroking condition and comes with a key. The crackel paint is original with great patina and is in graet shape (with the exception of four small areas). Kids love operating this unit-they place a penny in the slot and turn the handle, this starts the internal clock like mechanism which provides the electric charge.
You grab both the left and right-hand steel knosb while turning only the right-hand knob clockwise which increases the electic charge indicated on the curved dial. You get approximately 1 minute of electric shock therapy. The unit measures approximately 13.5 tall to the top of the marquee sign (9.5 tall if measured to the top of the box), 8 wide and 7 deep. The front is unlocked by the key and the front removes to access the inside (battery, mechanism and coins). Please note the latch on the lock is a very tight fit when locked, as a result soem adjustment should be made if you want to keep the front locked.
(i just leave the front unlocked with the key as shown in the photo). The vendor will be carefully wrapped and boxed. The battery will be removed from the unit and wrapped separately. Packaging, shipping, insurance and handling si calculated at $45.00 throughout the contiguous 48 u. S. States.
